UOB IBSA Study - 12th February 2020

So many lives are dramatically altered by non-consensual sexual image sharing, and the LGBTQ community has been identified as being the group most likely to be 'at risk' from these crimes (yes, they are criminal acts and perpetrators can be prosecuted)

Sharing images is an activity that spans decades in the gay community, sometimes it's just harmless fun, if the choice to share an image with an individual has been yours...via an app like Scruff or Grindr.

But often sharing an image is done with the intent to cause both harm, distress and pain to another person's life.

These are acts of abuse, but instead of using words...they use images. In its abbreviated term it's known as IBSA - Image Based Sexual Abuse.

If your life has been effected in this way, and you identify as LGBTQ, please reach out to: https://www.birmingham.ac.uk/.../image-based-sexual-abuse...

And take part in their important IBSA study
